A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated farm vet to step into a senior leadership role within a supportive mixed practice in stunning Southwest Cornwall. This position is ideal for either an experienced Clinical Director or a Clinical Lead ready to progress with structured mentoring.

The Role

This senior role places the successful candidate at the heart of the farm veterinary team, working alongside the Farm Practice Manager (Senior CD) and wider Clinical Director group. Responsibilities include shaping the farm services offered, delivering progressive herd health planning, leading consultancy-driven veterinary care, and overseeing government OV work as Vet Services Manager. With novel charging structures that reflect modern farm veterinary medicine, this is a role that combines leadership with clinical excellence and the opportunity to influence the direction of the farm department.

Why This Role?

  • Salary: £55,000–£70,000 DOE
  • Choice of 4-day or 5-day week (with two half days)
  • Excellent 1:12 OOH rota, shared with the equine team
  • Mentoring and structured development for those stepping into leadership for the first time
  • CPD allowance: £1,750 and 5 days, or £2,500 and 8 days for certificate holders, with further support available for both clinical and leadership training
  • Relocation package of up to £8,000

The role is suited to an experienced farm vet with strong clinical skills and a genuine passion for proactive, high-quality veterinary care. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as well as the enthusiasm to mentor junior vets, vet techs, and ATTs.
