Global Veterinary Careers are working with a fantastic independent small animal practice located in the Doncaster area, currently seeking a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, family-run team. This role is ideal for someone with a surgical bias who enjoys elements of sole charge, thrives with clinical freedom, and wants to work within a relaxed, supportive environment where your voice is heard. You’ll be working alongside an experienced Head Vet and a well-established nursing team, with a great caseload split between consults and surgery.

The Role

  • 3–4 days per week (30–40 hours)
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings only (8am–12pm)
  • No out-of-hours or on-call
  • Sole charge
  • 15-minute consults and a 50/50 ops/consult split
  • Minimum 5 years' experience and MRCVS status
  • Confident with sole charge and routine surgery
  • A positive, proactive approach and interest in mentoring welcomed
  • Strong team ethic with excellent communication

Independent and owner-led with strong values and family culture. Team includes 3 vets, 1 intern (awaiting RCVS exam), 1 new grad joining in September, 5 nurses, 2 VCAs and 4 reception staff. Well-equipped with:

  • Digital x-ray
  • Dental suite with x-ray
  • Internal IDEXX lab
  • Fully equipped theatre
  • Well-stocked pharmacy

CPD encouraged and funded if appropriate.
