An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Referral Medicine Clinician to join our team here at Bath Veterinary Group, Rosemary Lodge Veterinary Hospital! The position entails overseeing both internal and external medicine cases at a referral level, as well as maintaining communication with clients and referring veterinarians. Referral clinicians are tasked with conducting their own diagnostic imaging, with the assistance of colleagues and remote specialist interpretation as needed. Work with Cutting-Edge Technology Bath Vet Referrals offers referrals in small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurology, spinal surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology and rehabilitation, where we see referral cases from across the South West and South Wales. We have on-site MRI, CT and modern surgical and medical endoscopy systems. Join an Advanced Team We maintain a close-knit and supportive team dynamic, where collaboration is key. Our referral team comprises Medicine Clinicians and Surgeons, supported by a group of 8 Referral Nurses. Some of our nurses hold certificates and the Advanced Nursing Diploma, along with level 7 certificates, ensuring a high standard of care and expertise. What We’re Looking For To be successful you must have RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Medicine, with post-certificate experience of managing internally or externally referred cases. Specialists / Diplomates in Small Animal Medicine are also welcomed to apply. Working Hours The position entails working 3 to 4 days per week, totaling between 28.5 and 38 hours per week. Daily shifts are 9.5 hours long, scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with a potential extra day available on Tuesdays. Participation in the on-call rota, currently set at 1 in 7 weekends/weeknights, is shared equally among referral clinicians.
