About Us:
Barnsley Vets for Pets Hospital is an outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic, providing comprehensive 24/7 care with a dedicated on-site team. Established in 2002, our facility has evolved into a centre of excellence, equipped with advanced medical technologies, including a CT scanner, rigid and flexible endoscopes, and ultrasound machines. We offer a broad spectrum of services such as neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, alongside our first-opinion practice. Our commitment to exceptional service is reflected in our four outstanding RCVS awards.
Our Team:
Our team comprises 14 Veterinary Surgeons (including our own out-of-hours team), 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), 5 Animal Care Assistants (ACAs) and a proficient non-clinical support team. We are united by a passion for delivering the highest standards of care, managing both general and referral cases within the same hospital to ensure seamless, end-to-end patient care.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon, with at least 2 years experience, to join our first-opinion day team. The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident in handling routine surgical and medical cases.
- Possess a keen interest in managing a diverse caseload with the ability to work cases up to a high standard.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service and collaborating effectively within a highly skilled team.
Working Hours:
This full-time and part-time positions are available.
