Gloucester Barnwood Vets for Pets are looking for an Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, established, and supportive RCVS accredited practice. We are also a Silver level ISFM cat friendly clinic.

Competitive salary of £26-30,000 (Dependant on experience)

We\’re situated on the outskirts of Gloucester allowing for easy access via public transport. We are just a 5-minute drive away from the busy town of Gloucester and just a short drive away from the picturesque Cotswolds.

The surgery is a standalone with onsite parking that boasts state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, multi-parameter, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory including Idexx Catalyst & Lasercyte analysers. We also benefit from having visiting orthopedic and opthalmic surgeons, plus an advanced ultrasonographer. Not only do we have a great client base with a varied case load, but we also always have plenty of tea and cake to get us through the day and like to arrange regular work outings!

We pride ourselves on offering our colleagues a happy, fun and supportive working environment as well as providing the best standard of care to pets and clients.

Our team includes 3 Vets, Practice Manager, Head Nurse, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Nurses, a Veterinary Care Assistant & 3 Customer Care Assistants.

This role is full time (40 hours per week) and includes 1 in 4 Saturdays. (No Out Of Hours, Sundays or Bank Holidays!)

We welcome a conscientious, hardworking, experienced RVN ideally with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in practice with excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, have a systematic approach when making decisions and be able to carry out the role effectively with planning and organisation.

Our nurses utilise their skills providing inpatient care, anaesthetic monitoring, nurse clinics, radiography, lab work and getting involved with Schedule 3 procedures.
