An opportunity has arisen for a Recent Graduate Vet to join us at Beech House Veterinary Surgery. We are looking for an individual with some post graduate experience. Beech House Veterinary Surgery is a modern, small animal veterinary practice on the outskirts of Radcliffe and Little Lever. We are a well-equipped clinic with Digital x-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope, electrocautery, Ligasure, Dental x-ray, nerve block kit, plus a very well equipped theatre and high end ultrasound facilities.

In addition, you will have access to support from our internal referral programme with support in soft tissue, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and medicine. We offer 15-minute consults, as standard, which can be extended to 30 minutes for more complex cases. We also offer allocated admin time each day.

You will be joining a longstanding team of other vets; A Senior Vet with certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Small Animal Surgery working alongside 2 other vets, with a keen interest in surgery and medicine, plus an experienced support team including Practice Director (RVN), Head Nurse, 2 RVN, 2 SVN, PCA and 4 receptionists. We also have supportive Senior Clinical Directors, who attend the practice to provide their help and expertise in complex cases.

This is a full time, permanent position and you will be part of the weekend rota. As well as enjoying our modern facilities, well equipped practice and a busy varied caseload, you will have access to a range of benefits and our tailor made New Graduate programme offering you the right support network in practice by ensuring you have an experienced clinical mentor working alongside you in your practice.

In addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

  • Salary of £35,000 if joining year 1 of the graduate programme or £38,000 if joining year 2
  • No financial tie-in beyond completion of the programme.
