An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in Livingston Vets4Pets for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive team on a fixed term contract for a minimum of 1 year to cover maternity leave.

About Us

Our practice has been completely refurbished and is equipped with the latest technology. We have an impressive 9 consulting rooms, 3 operating theatres and various onsite laboratory testing. We have state of the art equipment including Bear hugger, Incubator, Multi-parameter and blood pressure machines along with a variety of laboratory equipment. We are conveniently located within the Pets at Home store in the centre of Livingston's retail park. We have a brilliant team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses including 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 7 Client Care Advisors, and a Client Services Manager.

About the Role

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from SVN with turning around theatre and patient prep.

Details

We have 2 full time opportunities available in the team, working 36 to 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm). We are flexible with the rota and happy to accommodate longer working days. This is a fixed term contract due to commence from early 2026 for a minimum of 1 year to cover maternity leave.
