The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are looking for a fantastic Veterinary float Receptionist based at our Zetland Vets in Redland.This is a fixed term contract lasting approximately 12 months.

Within this role, you will be expected to travel to any of our 8 locations to cover for holidays and sickness. Having your own transport is a must to travel between branches.

This is an ideal opportunity for a dedicated individual who can provide excellent care to both our clients and their pets. The clinic can get busy, so it\’s important that you stay calm and focused, especially during emergencies.

Your day-to-day

You will be the first point of contact for clients and the public both on the telephone and in person. Demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the Practice and give confidence to our clients.

Duties

  • Check/update vaccine/contact details upon each visit or during each phone call
  • Organise appointment diary as efficiently as possible to maximise clients seen
  • Actively promote Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance
  • Ensure clients pay for services on day of treatment
  • Keeping the reception area clean and tidy, especially ready for the next working day
  • Adhere to all practice/reception policies/procedures to always ensure an excellent level of customer service to our clients

    A team of 17 vets will welcome you, 15 nurses across 8 sites in Bristol, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade. We are RCVS-accredited veterinary practice, where we take pride in delivering exceptional care to both our patients and clients.

  • Some animal handling may be required – full training given
  • Veterinary experience would be an advantage
  • Your shift pattern

    You will work 24.5 hours per week, all day Monday 8:30 am – 8 pm, Tuesdays 2 pm – 6:45 pm, Friday 2 pm – 6:45 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak. You will be required to work across any of our branches. You will also be included in the 1:4 Saturday rota, working at our Fishponds branch or Zetland Hospital.
