SENIOR AND JUNIOR SALES/PROJECT VALVE ENGINEER (TWO JOBS AVAILABLE)

Responsibilities:
Internal Office-Based Role:
- General and Project Sales:Engage in customer liaison and sales activities. Must have experience in the valve/actuator industry or related water or process industries/utilities, with a background in sales/project lead roles.
- Communication:Maintain effective internal and external communication with customers and staff. Strong communication skills are essential.
- Sales Calls and Order Processing:Handle sales calls and order processing efficiently. Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Project Management:Ensure smooth execution of customer orders and projects, both in the UK and for export. Previous experience managing UK and export valve package projects is preferred.
- Daily Operations:Manage day-to-day sales order processing and technical sales calls.
- Stock Management:Purchase stock materials and maintain adequate inventory levels to satisfy projects and orders, supported by other team members.
- Order Entry:Accurately enter customer orders into the ERP system, including checking terms and conditions, logistics, and order management.
- Customer Liaison:Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Finding new business will be encouraged and supported.
- Quoting:Provide quotes for enquiries ranging from £1k to £1m.
- Contract Review:Review new customer purchase orders.
- Technical Support:Offer technical support to customers for new and existing valve and actuator requirements.
- CAD:Have a basic overview of creating or modifying existing and new drawings (not essential).
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background:Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (ideal but not essential).
- Industry Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the valve/actuator industry or associated water/process industries.
- Sales Experience:Proven track record in sales and project management roles.
- Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of water-based valve and actuator systems (preferred).
- ERP Systems and Microsoft Package:Proficiency in ERP systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for order processing and inventory management.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team Collaboration:Ability to work effectively within a team and support team members.
