Description
English Universities Sport (EUS) is the official association in England which administrates and sanctions national representative student competition across higher education. We are a democratic and innovative membership organisation, comprising of a strong Committee, exceptional coach network and professional support staff from the sport and higher education sectors. EUS strives to support the development of all its student athletes and provide opportunities to compete at the highest domestic representative level. Our teams compete in the biennial Home Nations Tournament as well as numerous fixtures against professional and amateur representative clubs from across the UK.
The Treasurer Role
+ Oversee EUS budget & on-going financial health
+ Prepare & present quarterly financial reports to EUS Trustee Board
+ Ensure compliance with reporting & charity finance requirements
+ Develop & maintain robust financial controls & processes
+ Execute necessary invoicing & payments
+ Advise on opportunities & concerns regarding funding, reserves, & expenditures
+ Manage relationships with banks & auditors
Required Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
+ Experience managing budgets or charity finances
+ Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, & legal financial responsibilities
+ Strong attention to detail & analytical skills
+ Ability to effectively communicate finance clearly to non-finance colleagues
+ Understanding of charitable financial compliance
+ Familiarity with tools like Excel & digital finance tools
