Description: Coach – Hockey Men’s 1st
Responsible to: Union of Students, University of Derby
Hours: 1.5 hours per week for up to 22 weeks during the academic year (September 2026 – March 2027).
A separate funding allocation will be available for official British Universities and Colleges Sport fixture support. Fixtures are typically played on Wednesday afternoons during the academic year (October – March).
Contract Term: This is a fixed‑term engagement for the period stated above. There is no guarantee of continued employment, renewal, or further coaching engagement beyond the expiry of this agreement.
General Purpose of the Role: To organise, deliver, and oversee coaching for the University of Derby Hockey Men’s 1st team, supporting the development, performance, participation, and wellbeing of student athletes, with the aim of improving individual and team performances within BUCS and other competitive or recreational activities.
