University of Hertfordshire Sports Village is looking to recruit a Customer Advisor to enhance our vibrant and welcoming team. Our vision is to be Hertfordshire’s leading facility and service provider of sports, health, and fitness. We provide extensive sports facilities and services to the local community, students, and staff of the University of Hertfordshire.
You will work as part of the customer service team from our front of house desk, keeping up to date with business developments to provide accurate information to our guests. Our Customer Advisors deal with face-to-face, telephone, and electronic enquiries, so you should enjoy helping others and solving problems. The position requires flexibility to work as part of the operational team, including early, late, and weekend shifts as well as bank holidays.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service at the front desk.
- Handle face-to-face, telephone, and electronic enquiries.
- Stay informed about business developments.
- Work flexibly as part of the operational team.
Skills and experience required:
- Personable, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
- Experience in a call centre or customer service environment is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications required:
- Minimum of Math’s & English GCSE level grade C/4 and above.
- A-Level or equivalent industry-specific qualifications in hospitality management is desirable.
- High level of written and spoken English is required.
