As Active Facilities Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality gym and climbing services at Surrey Sports Park, ensuring our members and guests receive a safe, engaging and welcoming experience. You will manage and support teams across fitness and climbing operations, setting clear service standards for gym floor activity, inductions, programmes, climbing wall operations, route setting, supervised sessions and customer engagement.
The role will also contribute to the growth of our health and wellbeing offer, using customer feedback, participation trends and operational insight to improve services, support member retention and identify new opportunities across gym, climbing, personal training and wider wellbeing activity.
We are looking for an experienced fitness, leisure or active facilities professional with the confidence to lead teams, manage day-to-day operations and deliver excellent customer service in a busy multi-user environment. You will have a recognised fitness qualification, strong knowledge of gym operations and health and safety requirements, and ideally experience or understanding of climbing or adventure sport environments.
You will be a positive and proactive leader, able to motivate staff, manage resources, resolve issues, work collaboratively across departments and use insight to improve the customer journey. Strong communication, planning, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills will be key to success in this role.
