Description
- Lead coaching at training sessions and at league matches.
- Attempt to improve technical and performance development of swimmers.
- Enhance the student experience through high-quality, engaging coaching.
- Maintain accurate records on training attendance, team selections, and technical analysis of swimmers.
- Regular evaluation of team performance.
- In partnership with the committee, manage team selection and provide feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with the Strathclyde Swimming and Waterpolo Club Committee, and Sports Union where required.
- Support the development of student leadership skills, particularly with club committee members
- Make sure all sessions comply with Health & Safety standards and maintain high standards with regards to Equality & Diversity.
Person Specifications Essential
- A Swimming Coaching qualification
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Excellent motivation skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience of university sport
Person Specifications Desirable
- Competitive experience at performance level in Swimming
- A clean driving license
- A first aid certificate
