Description

Coaching: 2 weekday evenings (Tuesdays & Fridays) training sessions @ UWE Hillside Gardens and Centre for Sport Sports Hall plus BUCS competitions.

Description of Services: As UWE Ultimate Frisbee team coach you will lead on the development of our Ultimate Frisbee Programme with the following responsibilities:

  • Delivery of on pitch and sports hall sessions (to include pre-season, trials, training, BUCS fixtures and friendlies)
  • Plan all sessions so they meet the needs of the participants and are progressive and appropriate
  • Maintain appropriate records of your participants’ progress
  • Support the student Club Committee to run the club effectively
  • Work with Centre for Sport and SU colleagues to coordinate Ultimate Frisbee activity
  • Engage with coach education opportunities at UWE if desired

You must attend the Coaches Induction at the start of the year (or watch the recording), read and make yourself familiar with the Coaches Handbook and understand UWE policies and procedures, including adhering to finance timescales regarding invoicing.

Please note you must provide a like for like replacement if you are unable to attend a session.

Qualifications

  • Hold a UKU L2 Coach Education certificate or be working towards it
  • Have experience coaching delivery for Ultimate
  • Have £10m Public Liability and £5m Professional Indemnity Insurance
