Description

The University of Liverpool is highly committed to sport. One of our key targets is to raise the performance of our student teams competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sports league (BUCS). The University of Liverpool is offering a unique opportunity for a coach who is passionate about Badminton and is seeking to continue our drive for excellence by working closely with the Club Committee and Sport Liverpool Team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to improving performance and developing Badminton at all levels. You will have experience or empathy of working within a student environment.

Job Requirements

β€’ To lead and deliver structured badminton coaching sessions to the team members at the University of Liverpool.

β€’ To work with team captains to select teams for the BUCS fixtures.

β€’ To provide feedback and development of Club Members.

β€’ To assist in the recruitment of Club Members.

β€’ To adhere to BUCS regulations.

β€’ To be committed to professional development.

β€’ To assist in the development of the Club. Playing Level of Teams

β€’ 1st Team Men BUCS 1A, 2nd Team Men BUCS 2A, 3rd team Men BUCS 3A

β€’ 1st Team Women BUCS 1A League, 2nd Team women 3A

Training Times Monday Evenings Term time only 22 September 2025 to 12 December 2025 26 January 2026 to 20 March 2026

Required Qualifications β€’ UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent) with experience of working with advanced level players. β€’ Experience of playing Badminton to a high level is desirable. β€’ You must have adequate Insurance cover for this role. (BE accredited coach)
