Description

We are seeking a motivated Team UWS Sports Coach to join the University of the West of Scotland. In this role, you will be part of the Team UWS staff team, responsible for delivering sports activities and coaching programs aimed at increasing participation and enhancing performance, in collaboration with the Sport Development Coordinator.

Your responsibilities will include coaching for Team UWS sports clubs and organizing university sports team activities. You will work closely with a student-led sports club committee to ensure active participation and achievement of team and personal goals. Candidates must possess, at minimum, a relevant NGB Level 1 Coaching Qualification or an equivalent sport coaching qualification.

The position involves coaching at various venues across Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Renfrewshire, as well as participating in BUCS fixtures at different locations as required. Training and fixtures will be scheduled based on the specific sport.

The closing date for applications is 24 August 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, and successful applicants will be asked to deliver a practical coaching session.
