Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for organising and delivering high-quality training and individual skill development sessions, preparing club members and teams to compete in fixtures and/or competitions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working in partnership with other coaching staff, including volunteer coaches
  • Developing and catering for club members of varying abilities in collaboration with the Club committee and Team Captains
  • Attending and contributing to club, team, and coach development reviews during the season
  • Ensuring health and safety in all coached activities in line with NGB guidelines
  • Leading squad and team selection for fixtures
  • Completing the Unitemps employment process and providing necessary documentation such as personal coaching insurance
  • Being a positive, professional role model, promoting an enjoyable, motivating, and inclusive atmosphere that upholds the ethos of Team Leicester

Skills and Experience

  • Level 2 Coaching Qualification minimum (or equivalent)
  • Personal Coaching Insurance
  • Significant coaching experience
  • Availability for training times and fixtures/competitions, where possible
  • Commitment to observing and implementing the University’s policies and procedures

Location: University of Leicester – Various locations

Start date: Coaches can only begin coaching and claiming hours after completing the Unitemps employment process, signing the coaching agreement, and providing proof of coaching insurance. The 2025-26 academic term begins on 22 September; exact start date will be advised after completing all prerequisites.
