Description

English Universities Sport (EUS) is the official association in England which administrates and sanctions national representative student competition across higher education. We are a democratic and innovative membership organisation, comprising of a strong Committee, exceptional coach network and professional support staff from the sport and higher education sectors. EUS strives to support the development of all its student athletes and provide opportunities to compete at the highest domestic representative level.

Our teams compete in the biennial Home Nations Tournament as well as numerous fixtures against professional and amateur representative clubs from across the UK.

The Basketball (Women) Head Coach Role

Work with the Head of Programmes to design & implement an annual sporting calendar

Lead trials & selection of the EUS squad Plan & deliver training sessions & match preparation

Manage performance & development of the athletes

Lead on match day coaching & final decisions

Work closely with EUS staff & support personnel to continuously develop the programme

Required Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

Minimum Level 2 coaching qualification (or working towards)

Experience coaching at performance or representative level

Strong leadership & communication skills

Understanding of athlete wellbeing & support

Organised and committed to the programme calendar

Safeguarding knowledge essential
