Description
Coaching:
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated coaches to join our team. As a coach with Sport Brighton, you will engage, develop and inspire students helping them achieve success both on and off the field. Rates of pay can vary between Β£15-Β£34 per hour depending on qualifications. There is also an opportunity for volunteer coaches depending on qualifications and experience. Coaches should be qualified at the Level 2 or higher Coaching Award in their sport. Level 1 qualified coaches will be considered if the candidate also has notable experience where National Governing Bodies of that sport allow. Coaching roles will commence mid-September 2025 and finish in April 2026 for teams in weekly BUCS competition, or June 2026 for those competing in one off events.
Commitment:
β’ Weekday evening training session: September to April (Days & Times TBC)
Responsibilities may include:
β’ To plan, organise and deliver sport specific sessions, which meet the needs of those student athletes participating in club sessions. In accordance with Sports Coach UK guidelines, coaches at this level plan, implement, analyse and revise coaching programmes.
β’ To provide clear, specific support and feedback to athletes and teams throughout competitive fixtures. β’ Monitoring and supporting both team and individual development.
β’ Work alongside the student committee to establish a clear strategic plan for the development of individuals and the whole club.
β’ Work alongside the student committee to create a student-centric environment.
β’ Work with Sport Brighton in the identification and recruitment of new student athletes.
Requirements:
β’ Ability to attend both training sessions and matches, with clear communication if not possible.
