Description
The University of Nottingham has invested significantly into its sporting infrastructure, with a Β£40m Sports Village and substantial investment into its coaching and development support for our 75 sports clubs and 140+ active teams. The University placed 2nd overall in the BUCS league table in 2024-25 and were awarded The Sunday Times Good University Guide Sports University of the Year 2019 , 2021 and 2024. We are currently recruiting for experienced Assistant Coaches for the Swimming programme for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The contract period runs from September 2025 β June 2026 and is for a minimum of 6.5 hours per week.
The Assistant Coaches will hold a minimum of a Swim England Level 1 Coaching Qualification and will help support the delivery of an innovative and effective Swimming programme for over 250 club members. The deliverer must also hold appropriate personal liability insurance for the duration of the contract period. The role includes coaching and working alongside the club committee members and other Swimming coaches at a minimum, but can also extend to competition support, administration, recruitment and club development.
Whilst this is a short-term contract, for the right candidate we will look to extend this into future years, and include qualification progression where relevant.
