Location: Home-based, ideally within the North West region; extensive travel across Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (subject to experience) + car allowance £3,500 - £4,000.

Duration: Permanent, Part Time, 18.125 hours per week, with substantial evenings and weekends. (Flexible core hours; time off in lieu for extra hours).

We are looking for a Club Development Officer to support clubs, coaches, and volunteers across the North West, enabling them to thrive and deliver the mission of British Triathlon.

What You'll Do

  • You will be a friendly face and trusted presence, bringing people together across Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire, helping clubs and communities feel supported and confident every step of the way.
  • Support the growth, governance, and sustainability of our club network.
  • Encourage and champion volunteers, coaches, and committees, so they can create welcoming, memorable experiences for every member.
  • Assist in the delivery of national priorities such as membership growth, workforce development, tackling inequalities, and safeguarding.

Who You Are

  • You are a passionate, engaging, and proactive sports development professional who understands the powerful role clubs play in driving the sport of triathlon.
  • Proven experience in club or community sport development.
  • Strong understanding of club governance, coach and volunteer support.
  • Confidence working on the ground with a wide range of people.
  • Commitment, empathy and a genuine love for helping others succeed.
  • Experience in triathlon is a bonus, but your ability to inspire and deliver is what matters most.
