Weekend Briefing: Be available on a Friday afternoon/evening for a handover from the transfer and logistics manager before travelling to the airport or train station at the weekend to receive all essential information and be fully prepared for the weekend’s transfers.
Key Contact Role: Act as the main point of contact at the airport or train station you are assigned to for students, parents, agents, BSS’s centre staff, Head Office personnel, and airport/airline staff, ensuring arrivals and departures run safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Transfer Coordination: Oversee the transfer process at the assigned airport and terminal with confidence and competence, minimising wait times and maintaining a high standard of service for students, parents, and agents.
Unaccompanied Minors (UMs): Serve as the back-up member of staff for UMs, receiving them from airline staff on arrival, registering them for departures, completing all necessary documentation, and accompanying them throughout the transfer to ensure their safety and comfort.
Problem Solving: Anticipate potential issues, handle delays or last-minute changes effectively, and resolve any challenges calmly, professionally, and collaboratively to maintain a high-quality transfer service.
Health & Safety: Review and understand the relevant risk assessments, ensuring all Health & Safety, safeguarding and transfer policies are followed to keep students safe at all times.
Operational Updates: Keep the Transfer Logistics manager, Head Office, and the Centre informed of any deviations from the schedule, such as delayed or missed flights, transport issues or alternative arrangements, ensuring everyone always has the accurate, up-to-date information.
Daily Feedback: Provide timely feedback to the Transfer Logistics manager and head office after each shift to support the delivery of consistently high-quality service.
Pastoral Support & Safeguarding: Monitor students’ behaviour, well-being, and overall experience, reporting any concerns or observations to the Transfer Logistics Manager, Head Office and Centre to safeguard their physical and emotional welfare.

Key Information: Hiring for Summer 2026. Job Role: Airport Manager. Key Purpose of Job: To oversee the student arrival and departures at the location assigned, ensuring student safety, well-being and helping make the student have minimal waiting times.
Reporting to: Transfer Logistics Manager. Hours: Saturday & Sunday 08.00 - 20.00 (Weekend Role Only). Above are typical hours only. These may vary according to arrivals and departures on the given day. The role is from 28th of June until 8th of August (Including Optional Dates).
Location: One of: Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, St Pancras.
