Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. We, in turn, make this into over 1 million tonnes of sugar, serving customers across the UK, Ireland and increasingly growing commercially in the EU and world sugar markets.

Job Purpose
British Sugar is the leading sugar supplier in the UK and one of the most efficient sugar processors in the world. Partnering with over 3,500 growers to produce home grown sugar, supplying around 50% of the UK’s sugar market, we are proud to be building and supporting a beet sugar industry that works for Britain. We are looking to recruit a number of individuals to fill seasonal roles on our sugar beet processing campaign. The role will involve operating within the Beet Intake team in a manner that satisfies safety, production, quality and all other compliance requirements. Roles are based around weighing, sampling, grading, traffic marshalling and processing of Sugar Beet vehicles to a high standard and specification whilst working closely alongside The National Farmers Union (NFU), as well as troubleshooting operational issues.
