What you need to know about the role:
Responsible for the operational performance, reliability and continual improvement of a multi-site network, this role combines hands-on support with involvement in project delivery, solution design and network optimisation. You will work closely with vendors and partners, providing technical assurance and constructive challenge, while contributing to the design and evolution of network solutions to ensure they are fit for purpose, secure and deliver value to the business, working alongside specialist security and firewall resources where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the organisation’s multi-site network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance and security.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents and problems, taking ownership through to resolution and root cause analysis.
- Plan and implement network changes, upgrades and improvements in line with change control processes.
- Support the delivery of network-related projects, working with internal teams and third-party partners.
- Define and maintain network standards, documentation and best practices, ensuring consistency and maintainability.
- Monitor network capacity, performance and resilience.
