What You Need To Know About The Role
The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) will provide support to the Occupational Health Manager (OHM) and the Senior Nurse (OSN) in delivering an effective Occupational Health Service for British Steel. The role is to implement the agreed policies, practices, and health programs in all aspects of Occupational Health services, including ensuring quality medicals are performed, suitable referrals are made to doctors and other professionals such as medical technicians, providing effective communications to managers, and ensuring data is stored and collected appropriately. Provide medical emergency assistance and treatment as appropriate to the patient. Comply with the professional code of standards and behaviour as set out by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and keep your pin up to date.
What We Need To Know About You
- RGN qualification is essential.
- Experience in an Occupational Health setting is desirable; however, transferable skills, relevant experience, and knowledge will be considered.
- An Occupational Health qualification is desirable but not essential.
- IT proficiency: confident in using email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases.
- Personal attributes: self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver a high-quality, auditable medical service.
- Willingness to undertake any reasonable management request.
