We are looking for experienced, reliable, practical and safety-minded heavy plant fitters and HGV fitters to carry out maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of heavy mobile plant, associated equipment and HGVs to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation.

The role involves working on a wide range of machinery including loading shovels, excavators, dump trucks, forklifts, telehandlers, and specialist equipment used in a demanding industrial environment. The HGV role involves working on Heavy Goods Vehicles, trailers and specialist equipment including vacuum jetting tankers.

Both roles have an expectation to work safely, maintain high standards of workmanship, and contribute to maximising equipment availability and workshop efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintenance and Repair of plant equipment
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and repairs on heavy plant equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
  • Diagnose and repair faults involving engines, gearboxes, clutches, braking systems, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs in workshops and on site in operational areas.
