What You Need To Know About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Craft person or Team Leader to join the engineering team at Concast. In this role, you will lead craft work groups made up of both internal employees and contractors, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, supervise and execute daily electrical maintenance and improvement tasks to support asset reliability. You will be allocated to one of the four continuous casters within the Concast Plant (Caster 4, Billet, Slab and Caster 5). You will work on a variety of electrical and engineering equipment such as motors, drives, sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, MCC (power centres), hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gas systems and water systems.
What We Need To Know About You
To be considered for this position you must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade, or have completed a recognised apprenticeship. Experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial or heavy engineering environment is preferred. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop, and be able to adapt to new equipment. Knowledge of steelmaking processes would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided. Certificate evidence will be required.
