About this role:
The Foreman will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily site activity, productivity and resourcing for the build of the Solar Park, reporting to the Site Manager to measure progress against the construction program. The Foreman is the main point of contact for all build staff employed by the organisation with regards to co-ordinating site activity. They must work in conjunction with Supervisors, their site teams, sub-contractors and the Site Manager to ensure optimum productivity is achieved daily.

The foreman must conduct a daily site briefing to cover points of safety, priorities for the day, work areas and other contractor activity. Throughout the day they will be co-ordinating tasks, troubleshooting and monitoring progress working closely with and reporting to the Site Manager.
The successful candidates must be self-motivated, pro-active and conscientious; used to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to tight deadlines you must have experience of managing teams and progress; the project completion date is not negotiable. Skills and previous experience of Solar build would be a distinct advantage; previous Construction Site Foreman work is essential as you will be working to CDM regulations.
What we need from you:
- Familiarity with overall Project plan
- Knowledge of site set-up, welfare, logistics, TMP, CPP
- Maintain and monitor works performance against plan
- Run daily site briefing with BSR staff
- Report against program and track performance and issues
- Manage operational safety
- See all aspects of the build through to completion
- Ensure the quality is achieved and signed-off each time and every-time
What skills you will have:
- Experience as a Foreman, working to CDM regulations is essential for this role. Experience on electrical projects would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Previous experience as Foreman on multi-million-pound construction/ infrastructure projects desirable, or site management of smaller sites
- Site Management/ Safety qualifications within construction desirable (SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH)
- Microsoft Office capability with Word, Excel and MS Project, essential
