At British Solar Renewables (BSR), we create renewable energy projects that support a net zero future and strengthen the regions where we work. Our teams develop, build and operate large-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects across the UK and Australia. We combine technical expertise with a practical approach, focused on delivering clean, reliable energy and long-term value for communities, landowners and the energy system.
Working closely with the HR team, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting people and getting things done. This HR Advisor role is hands‑on and all about helping colleagues develop, grow and feel supported. You’ll work side‑by‑side with the Head of HR, managers and teams across the business to create a positive, inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. You’ll take ownership of our onboarding and offboarding journeys and play a key role in our learning and development activity across the business.

What you’ll be doing:
- Day-to-day HR support
- Give clear confident advice to employees and managers on day-to-day HR queries
- Support investigations and hearings with fairness and professionalism
- Join monthly HR meetings, take notes and keep actions moving
- Coach managers through the employee lifecycle, helping them lead well and grow their teams
- Guide managers on performance, conduct and grievance processes
- Keep probation reviews on track
- Assist with salary review processes
- Support our Internal Recruiter when needed
- Own and improve our onboarding and offboarding journeys
- Make sure every new starter has a warm, well‑organised welcome
- Prepare accurate HR reports and people data
- Handle personal data safely and in line with policy
- Provide accurate monthly payroll information
- Manage the HR inbox with care and efficiency
- Help identify training needs and support L&D delivery
- Promote wellbeing activities and be a supportive point of contact
- Coordinate monthly and seasonal employee events that bring people together
Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar HR role
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
- High discretion and professionalism
- A proactive, solution focused mindset
- Someone who works well with others and confidently on their own
