About the role: Working closely with the Head of Legal, you’ll handle a variety of property-related legal matters, from negotiating agreements to managing compliance. If you thrive on delivering solutions, collaborating with diverse teams, and navigating complex legal landscapes, this is your chance to drive change in a fast-growing industry.

What You’ll Do: You’ll ensure our renewable energy projects are legally watertight by:

  • Leading Property Transactions: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property documents like leases, easements, and site-sharing agreements while liaising with external lawyers and stakeholders.
  • Securing Easements & Leases: Collaborating with grid teams and project managers to find cost-effective solutions for cable routes, substation leases, and wayleaves.
  • Supporting Due Diligence & Funding: Resolving legal issues, negotiating agreements, and ensuring smooth project delivery for funders and buyers.
  • Managing Risk & Compliance: Overseeing GDPR compliance, coordinating training, and assisting in risk management alongside company leaders.

What We’re Looking For: To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Property Law Expertise: You’re a qualified solicitor with experience in property law, ideally within renewable energy or infrastructure.
  • Sharp Negotiation Skills: You’ve successfully drafted and managed complex property agreements.
  • Detail-Oriented Problem Solving: You thrive on conducting title reviews, managing due diligence, and addressing legal challenges.
  • Collaborative Communication: You can confidently engage with internal teams, external lawyers, and key stakeholders.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Experience in GDPR, risk management, or compliance is a bonus.
