We are looking for a Manager of Veterinary Histopathology to lead our talented team of experienced Histopathologists. In this role, your primary focus is to maintain the gold standard of diagnostic excellence our clients expect while championing a healthy work-life balance and team collaboration. Our team operates with a hybrid, flexible approach, blending on-site and remote work. We aren’t just looking for a technical expert; we need a people-first leader who ensures every team member, whether at a desk in the lab or a microscope at home feels supported, heard, and equipped to succeed.

Location: Hybrid working – based on site at Finn Pathologists (minimum 2 days per week) and remotely from home, with occasional travel to other sites

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive (up to £100k)

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.30

  • Drive Excellence: Supervise the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring we consistently meet and surpass client expectations
  • Grow the Future: Enhance our residency program, provide support for visiting residents, and discover tailored growth opportunities for your team
  • Innovate: Act as a representative of the department in pioneering research projects and actively pursue new developmental opportunities for the department
  • Collaborate: Work with stakeholders across the business to ensure we deliver the best possible care to as many animals as possible.
  • Lead with Empathy: Focus on the well-being of your staff and foster a cohesive team culture throughout a hybrid workforce

What You Will Bring:

  • Essential: Extensive & demonstrable experience in people leadership, showcasing a successful history of overseeing & developing professional teams
  • Desirable: Knowledge and experience in Veterinary Histopathology or diagnostic laboratory settings. Experience in digital pathology, in-house immunohistochemistry, and AI.
  • Mindset: A proactive attitude towards problem-solving, whether it’s ensuring smooth IT systems or exploring new opportunities for the department
