The British Sauna Society is on a mission to make the physical, mental and social health benefits of authentic sauna available to more people across the UK. From hosting events like the Sauna Summit and the UK Aufguss Championships, to ensuring that there’s a high bar for sauna standards nationwide, we’re committed to support the growth of sauna culture in the UK.

We’re looking for a volunteer accountant/bookkeeper to help us get up and running as a non-profit, working with the Directors to support financial administration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monthly bookkeeping
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Supporting financial compliance and reporting

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with accounting software (we use Xero)
  • Experience with VAT returns and bookkeeping
  • Ideally a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or someone with relevant experience
