Location: Remote within the UK, with visits to clients’ premises (and to various UK wide locations for internal meetings)

Primary Job Purpose

To generate and qualify new business opportunities by identifying prospective UK organisations, understanding their safety, wellbeing and sustainability needs, and connecting them with the appropriate sales team members to support sustainable revenue growth.

Brief Description of Tasks

  • Identify and target UK organisations with requirements for Safety, Wellbeing and Sustainability services using a multi-channel approach to ensure the sales team focuses on high value opportunities.
  • Engage with prospective customers via initial discovery discussions to build a picture of their immediate and longer-term requirements.
  • Book high quality new business meetings for our Strategic Account Managers and ensure they have a clear brief on customer requirements.
  • Maintain market awareness and provide feedback to internal stakeholders on trends, observations and recommendations.
  • Follow up on leads generated by British Safety Council sales initiatives & marketing campaigns within designated timeframes.
  • Utilise multiple communications methodologies (Phone, LinkedIn, MS Teams, Face-to-Face, E-Mail) to ensure that all contact opportunities are explored.
  • Work collaboratively with the UK Sales and Customer Advisor teams to ensure overall group revenue is maximised, referring opportunities and leads as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure maximum effectiveness of warm lead and campaign conversion.
  • Keep up to date with all products and services offered by British Safety Council, Mates in Mind as well as partners & competitors.
  • Maintain a broad and deep understanding of the Health & Safety, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Sustainability and related industries.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Represent British Safety Council at internal and external events, seminars and conferences where required.
  • Adhere to all administration procedures within the expected timeframes.
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work; and to co-operate with the British Safety Council so far as is necessary to enable it to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing at work of all its employees.
  • Support and contribute to the wider organisation in terms of industry and customer insight and represent the organisation to members and non-members with the highest level of integrity.
