The postholder will act as the central point of coordination: planning timelines and budgets, brokering and negotiating partnerships, managing internal stakeholders, and overseeing related marketing, communications, branding and digital/social media output (including management of an external creative or video production agency) to ensure the anniversary is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. Please note that this is a temporary, fixed-term position for 12 months, commencing August 2026, to plan, mobilise and deliver British Safety Council’s 70th anniversary programme culminating in a series of activities throughout 2027. Some flexibility around working hours may be required to support key events and launch activity.

- Identify, approach and secure external partners, sponsors and suppliers to support anniversary activities.
- Negotiate terms, contracts and in-kind support with partner organisations, ensuring value for money and alignment with organisational values.

- Engage senior leadership, trustees (as applicable) and staff across the organisation to gain buy-in and ensure consistent messaging.
- Facilitate cross-team working groups, ensuring clear ownership and accountability for each sub-project.
- Marketing, communications and branding
- Work with the marketing/communications teams (or lead directly when appropriate) to develop a cohesive anniversary brand identity and messaging framework.
- Ensure all anniversary materials, events and outputs are consistent with brand guidelines and organisational tone of voice.
