Novice & Recreational Squad Coach – Royal Holloway, University of London

Royal Holloway Boat Club, hosted by Staines Boat Club, are seeking to recruit a Novice & Recreational Squad Coach to join our squad for the 2026-2027 season. They are looking for a coach that will help them improve their club performance and athlete development. Following a successful BUCS Regatta 2026, where their beginners achieved club records across multiple categories, they are looking to appoint a Coach as soon as possible to support their novice athletes in building confidence and developing their skills to compete successfully at regional and national events such as BUCS Regatta.

About the Role

• The Novice & Recreational Squad Coach will lead athletes who are new to rowing, and help them progress towards novice-level categories at competitions, whilst also supporting members who wish to row recreationally.
• Working closely with the Competitive Squad Coach and Club Committee, the coach will help ensure effective training and maintain our welcoming one-club culture.
• The club are looking for an enthusiastic coach with some experience working with novices and able to develop a structured, goal-orientated, block-based training plan.
• The squad trains three times a week, one erg session and two water sessions.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Type: Part-Time: Wednesday's and Sundays 1:30pm-4:30pm , minimum 5 hours a week
