We are seeking a values-led, compassionate and detail focused EA, who will support the CEO and Operations Manager. This role will play a central part in shaping how it feels to work at British Rowing ensuring our values are lived every day, not simply stated.
A bit about the role: This opportunity to join the Operations Team comes at an exciting time as Tom Solesbury, the new Chief Executive, implements a fresh strategy designed to transform the sport and create positive opportunities for everyone who interacts with it. Rowing has the power to change lives. Itβs a sport built upon teamwork and inclusivity which creates a welcoming culture where communities can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive diary management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings for the CEO.
- Act as the first point of contact for staff and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Ensure the CEO is well informed of upcoming commitments, responsibilities and urgent items requiring their attention.
- Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
- Work with the Operations Manager to prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and briefing documents for key meetings.
- Assist in expense processing, and financial administration, linking with the Operations Manager and finance team as required.
- Assist with HR processes.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Where required and time allowing, provide basic admin support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team as authorised by the Operations Manager.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Proven experience in an executive assistant, personal assistant, or high-level administrative role.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritise ever changing workloads and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Experience of preparing accurate documentation to set deadlines and coordinating the appropriate administration attached to meetings.
- Experience of taking and producing accurate meeting minutes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-performance environment.
- An interest in sport and in the work of British Rowing.
- Experience of working for a governing body organisation or governance function.
Hours of Work and Pay:
28-hour week (4 days) β Β£33,240 per year (FTE β Β£41,550)
