Kingston Rowing Club are looking for both paid and volunteer club coaches to support their varied range of squads. They cater to high performance juniors and seniors, university student novices, and racing and recreational masters. If you’re a current or former athlete and haven’t coached before, but you’re an organised and motivated individual looking to learn, they would also love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
You will be working under the guidance of the head coaches. Training programmes will be delivered in close collaboration with the coaches, with the aim to encourage and prepare athletes for competing at HRR, HWR, and the various national championships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience or experience rowing at a senior or junior level
- UKCC Level 2 (if you don’t yet have this we can arrange for you to attend the course)
KRC is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world. Their membership is close to 300 active rowers with a full range of squads. Founded in 1858, the club has a strong reputation for success, both on the domestic and international rowing scene. They are a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and an integral part of the community of Kingston upon Thames. Their striking racing strip - scarlet hoops on white - is one of the most recognised and respected in the world of rowing. They compete at Henley Royal Regatta, Women's Henley, and Masters Henley as well a full programme of Head Races and other regattas.
