Emanuel School is seeking an experienced and inspiring Director of Rowing to play a key role in the management and strategic vision of our high-quality rowing provision.
The Role
As Director of Rowing, you will oversee all aspects of rowing at Emanuel, including the management and development of a team of specialist coaches. You will also ensure inspirational and high-quality coaching is delivered to students across all levels. Your leadership will continue to develop the Boat Club’s strong culture of personal support and collective aspiration, whilst providing opportunities for all our rowers to compete for honours at local, regional and national level. In addition to your management duties, you will coach one of the senior squads, promoting a culture of high performance which stretches and challenges pupils.
A bit about you
You will be a passionate and energetic individual with extensive experience in a similar-sized rowing programme. You will need to hold a Level 3 coaching qualification and have a strong track record of coaching juniors or young adults to a high standard, from beginner level through to elite and aspiring junior international rowers. The role requires excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, as well as the passion, energy and enthusiasm to maintain a positive and ambitious culture of achievement within the Boat Club.
