Have you considered becoming a British Rowing Coach Educator?
British Rowing is looking to recruit enthusiastic and excellent coach educators to facilitate learning, education, and development opportunities to coaches and volunteers, in person and virtually. You will need to be a current educator, hold a coaching qualification in rowing and have the drive to inspire others.
You will be invited to facilitate learning, education and development as part of our national programme and support relevant regional initiatives as part of our regional programme. All activities will be organised in consultation with the British Rowing Learning, Education and Development Department and the Rowing Community Department.
We would love to hear from you no matter where you are based and would welcome applicants if you are based in the following areas: The Thames Valley, The Southeast, Wessex, The Midlands and Northern Regions as we would like to fill a gap in in-person learning opportunities in those geographical areas.
Our programmes are flexible, and we like offer the choice of weekdays, evenings and weekend learning opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate in-person training to deliver context specific learning.
- Tailor materials to suit the needs of each learner.
- Deliver online education opportunities when required.
- Ensure that courses are effectively planned, and quality control metrics have been achieved, including the management of feedback from those connecting with our programmes.
- Support the LEAD team in the ongoing development of experiences and resources to support the coach learning.

Mandatory Requirements
- A highly skilled educator with an in depth understanding of coaching in modern society.
- A desire to evolve from traditional to modern, flexible and tailored learning.
- Holds a formal teaching/ educator qualification.
- Holds a coaching qualification in rowing.
- Extensive experience of facilitating in- person learning.
- Has an engaging, flexible and inspiring facilitation style.
- Has a clear understanding of how to accommodate individual learning needs.
- Is an excellent team player, and skilled in supporting others.
- Has an understanding of the sport of rowing.
- Has an understanding of social media.
- An excellent understanding of and commitment to the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
