We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as the Volunteering Strategy Programme Lead. This role is crucial in shaping and driving our volunteering strategy, ensuring that our volunteer programs are effective, impactful, and aligned with our mission.

What will you be doing as a Volunteering Strategy Programme Lead?

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteering strategy that supports the organization's goals.
  • Lead and manage the Volunteering Strategy team, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate volunteer programs into broader organizational initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs, making data-driven improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the volunteer programs.

To be a successful Volunteering Strategy Programme Lead, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in developing and leading volunteer programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Project Management or Process Change qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Ability/willingness to occasionally work outside of normal office hours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Passion for humanitarian work and community service.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the British Red Cross.
  • Ability/willingness to travel and/or use technology to engage stakeholders.
