Could you play a crucial role in attracting and retaining volunteers by developing and implementing innovative strategies to attract a diverse range of volunteers?
What does a day in the life of a Volunteer Attraction Coordinator look like?
- Develop and execute volunteer attraction strategies to meet recruitment targets.
- Create engaging promotional materials and campaigns to attract volunteers.
- You will be part of a rota response for the Volunteer Support Line (VSL). The VSL offers practical and emotional support to all BRC volunteers and responds to their questions or concerns about their volunteering tasks.
- Participate in volunteer recruitment events and fairs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community groups, educational institutions, and other organisations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of attraction strategies and make improvements as needed.
- Provide support and guidance to volunteers throughout their journey with the British Red Cross.
Do you have what it takes to be a successful Volunteer Attraction Coordinator?
- Proven experience in volunteer attraction, human resources, or a related field.
- Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to develop engaging attraction campaigns.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to design user centred, inclusive solutions.
- Knowledge of volunteer attraction, inclusive recruitment and EDI.
- Ability to interpret data, insights and audience research.
- Strong organisational and project management skills managing projects across multiple locations or services.
- Using data and insight to shape campaigns or plans.
- Producing promotional or campaign materials for varied channels.
- Developing attraction approaches for diverse or underrepresented audience.
