As a Project Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in helping refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants integrate into the community. Are you passionate about creating meaningful, supportive connections and ensuring individuals feel empowered in their new environment?

You’ll coordinate and deliver community integration projects, working directly with service users to understand their needs and champion their journey toward self-reliance and inclusion. You’ll also work closely with volunteers and community partners to promote and enhance the service helping us build a welcoming environment where everyone has the chance to thrive. A day in the life of a Project Coordinator will involve:

  • Ensuring service users receive high-quality, person-centred support in line with agreed standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to manage volunteers, ensuring they follow best practices for safe, effective service delivery.
  • Facilitating service user feedback and involvement, creating opportunities for them to shape service improvements and engage in advocacy.
  • Developing partnerships with external organisations to provide holistic care for service users, offering guidance on rights and entitlements where needed.
  • Proactively managing risks, addressing health, safety, and safeguarding concerns to maintain a safe environment.

To be a successful Project Coordinator, you’ll need:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, monitor, and prioritise workload for self and others.
  • Skilled in managing and supporting volunteers, with experience in delivering effective learning and group activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences, support clients through interpreters, and adapt style as needed.
  • Knowledgeable in refugee and asylum seeker issues, with experience in casework, cross-agency collaboration, and helping people with complex needs.
