Planning and Projects Manager

Location: Greater London area (hybrid between home and our office in Moorgate)

Salary: £48,577 per annum(plus Inner London Weighting, if applicable)

Hours: 35 per week, Monday – Friday

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)

The British Red Cross are looking for a Planning and Projects Manager. Can you help the Fundraising Operations team develop and deliver a clear roadmap of activities and projects that will help them support fundraising colleagues deliver their strategic goals?

A day in the life of our Planning and Projects Manager

In this demanding but rewarding role you’ll manage a diverse range of projects and activities. You’ll develop and maintain the Fundraising Operations road map, keeping us on track to deliver against directorate priorities, through the delivery of strategic goals in support of our strategy, whilst concurrently triaging everyday work requests to ensure we continue to meet our operational commitments.

You’ll ensure the wider team has both the capacity and resources required to support our ambitious Marketing, Fundraising, and Communications plans.

You’ll be a confident collaborator. You’ll establish strong relationships (both internally and externally) that ensure mutuality and strategic alignment. You’ll use these strong relationships to make effective decisions and to shape projects to ensure completion.

You’ll manage a diverse range of projects, working with several stakeholders, gathering requirements, mitigating risks and implementing new products and processes efficiently, on time and within budget.

This role might be for you if…

  • You have experience of using project management planning tools.
  • You have proven experience of managing and delivering strategically significant projects to completion.
  • You have experience of developing effective relationships across an organisation to achieve mutual objectives and can successfully negotiate and influence decisions.
  • You have robust written communication skills, can lead workshops and meetings and present in a clear and engaging way to a range of audiences.
