Senior Philanthropy Manager

Location: London (hybrid, typically 1 day per week in the London office)

Hours: 35 per week (Monday – Friday)

Contract: Permanent

Salary Range: £54,145 – £57,627 (DOE, plus Inner London Weighting £3,344, if applicable)

A Day in the life of our Senior Philanthropy Manager

In this vital role you’ll maintain and grow relationships with existing major donors, working closely with leadership to secure six‑figure gifts through insight‑driven account plans. You’ll deliver an exceptional supporter experience by collaborating with internal teams to build deep, lasting engagement.

Additionally, you’ll focus on maximizing emergency appeals to boost immediate revenue and build a sustainable pipeline of long‑term supporters.

You’ll also be playing a key role in delivering bold change and growth that is rooted in the increasing need for our services. You’ll be accountable for ensuring that we have ambitious and credible strategies in place across our various income streams.

You’ll drive cross‑team collaboration and share best practice and effective ways of working. You’ll provide vital senior strategic expertise and coaching/management support.

The role of Senior Philanthropy Manager might be for you if…

  • You’ve a proven track record of securing six‑figure gifts from philanthropy donors and achieving income targets.
  • You have a deep understanding of Partnerships & Philanthropy fundraising. You’re motivated by working closely with high‑value supporters to deliver impact for vulnerable people.
  • You take the initiative. You have a can‑do attitude with vision and flair for spotting new opportunities and solving complex challenges.
  • You’ve demonstrable ability to develop and deliver complex, compelling, co‑created funding propositions.
  • You are motivated by facilitating excellent supporter experience and driving excellence.
  • You’re a strong communicator. You can deliver an engaging message using different platforms (in person, virtually). You can negotiate with stakeholders and influence them to get results.
