At the British Red Cross, we’re looking for a Senior Income Processing Officer to join our Income Processing Team in London. Can you help to deliver end-to-end improvement projects across the Income Processing pipeline? Can you lead on monitoring and optimising income data flows, identifying and resolving issues, supporting system development, and embed workflow improvements and automations? A day in the life of our Senior Income Processing Officer:
Reporting to the Income Processing Manager you’ll be responsible for fast tracking process improvements as we move from our legacy CRM system to Salesforce. You’ll challenge the status quo and end-to-end processes that are embedded in our current delivery models.
You’ll be improvement-focused; making sure solutions are robust, scalable and seamlessly integrated into business-as-usual processes throughout our migration to Salesforce and beyond.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end project management to deliver workflow automations and redesigned income processes that align with strategic business goals.
- Developing performance metrics, process maps, and training workshops to demonstrate efficiency savings and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to determine scope, risks, and operational testing while managing wider project impacts.
- Communicating updates and risks clearly to all audiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and feedback.
- Ensuring all improvements align with compliance requirements, financial controls and organisational standards.
- Serving as the subject matter expert on income pathways and data flows between banks, fundraising platforms, CRMs, and finance systems.
- Supporting day-to-day income processing across multiple channels.
- Ensuring accurate and timely month-end reconciliations by resolving exceptions and confirming income is processed, coded and recorded within deadlines.
To be a successful Senior Income Processing Officer you’ll need:
- Demonstrable experience leading end-to-end operational or workflow improvement initiatives in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Strong working knowledge of income processing, fundraising operations or financial data flows.
- Proven ability to diagnose root-cause operational or system issues, analyse process or data behaviour.
- Ability to translate insights into practical, compliant and scalable solutions.
- Experience contributing as an operational subject matter expert to system or process change, including testing, implementation and post-deployment assurance.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work independently, managing competing priorities while collaborating effectively with colleagues across various teams.
- Effective communication and strong stakeholder management skills, tailoring your message to various audiences.
