Location: UK Flexible (hybrid, with occasional working in our London office)

Salary Range: £67,887 to £71,836 (plus ILW, £3,344, if applicable) per annum

Want to use your data and insight skills to help raise more funds for people in crisis around the world? We're looking for a commercially astute, assured data and insight leader to help us nurture our ambitious income goals. You'll support and guide a diverse multi-disciplinary team that brings together supporter feedback, behavioural data, strategic analysis and operational performance information. The team provides the evidence and insight that shapes strategic decisions, deepens supporter experiences and helps maximise our collective fundraising outcomes.

We've recently moved to a hub and spoke model for Data and Insight. This role leads the Marketing and Fundraising spoke. We're looking for someone to build on the team's existing strengths and cultivate its next phase of development. You'll work in partnership with colleagues to foster the skills, capabilities and ways of working needed to support our growth ambitions, ensuring we make the best use of our existing and emerging technologies. You'll also play a key role in strengthening the relationship between Marketing and Fundraising and the wider Data and Insight Hub, ensuring expertise, standards and capabilities are shared transparently and effectively across the organisation.

What will a day in the life of the Head of Data and Insight involve?

  • Working with your team to understand decision-making challenges.
  • Ensuring that fundraising leaders have the right management information, insight & evidence to make strong, insight-informed decisions.
  • Developing and strengthening our forecasting and scenario-modelling capabilities.
  • Providing a consultative business-partnering service.
  • Leading the development of supporter insight, strategic analysis and experimentation.
  • Ensuring data and insight are embedded in decision-making.
  • Supporting the development of a strong, inclusive and collaborative team culture.

To be a successful Head of Data and Insight, what will you need?

  • Experience of leading a data, analytics or insight function to drive fundraising, marketing, income generation or commercial growth.
  • A strong business partnering approach.
  • A real understanding of supporter engagement, marketing, or fundraising, and how data and insight can drive performance.
  • Confidence and experience of working with data platforms (databricks), business intelligence tools, marketing technology, and CRM systems to enable insight and delivery.
