We’re looking for an Employee Support Assistant to join our People Support team at the British Red Cross. You’ll be the first point of contact for all employee support matters, guiding colleagues through their employment journey and ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities
- Manage the employee lifecycle by processing internal transfers, contract changes, leavers, and international employment updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK Employment Law.
- Deliver exceptional employee support by handling queries on leave entitlements (e.g. sickness, maternity, paternity), resolving issues within SLA timelines, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance by issuing contractual paperwork, managing overpayments with payroll, and maintaining accurate HR and payroll records through regular audits.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, contributing feedback, and collaborating with teams to improve the employee experience.
Requirements
- Tech-savvy and detail-oriented: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) with excellent attention to detail and high data entry accuracy.
- Strong communicator: Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
- HR system experience: Familiarity with HR/Recruitment systems and a solid understanding of UK Employment Law.
- Resilient and customer-focused: Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment, while managing pressure and meeting deadlines.
