As our Relationship Fundraiser (Special Events), you'll implement the regional fundraising strategy in Scotland aiming to raise income through organising fundraising events.
Are you skilled at identifying and seizing new fundraising opportunities, proactively using fundraising data to gain insights? Can you effectively engage with a diverse range of regional corporates, supporters and volunteers? Your ability to proactively research and react to emergent opportunities will be crucial in growing income while staying competitive.
A day in the life of our Relationship Fundraiser (Special Events) will involve:
- Planning and promoting major fundraising events and activities to meet income targets.
- Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, supporters, and volunteers to encourage fundraising efforts.
- Managing and updating the fundraising database to ensure accurate records of supporters and donations.
- Collaborating with other departments to maximise fundraising opportunities.
- Responding quickly to emergency appeals and adapting plans to take advantage of new fundraising opportunities.
- Regular and extensive travel across Scotland (access to own vehicle would be a practical advantage).
To be a successful Relationship Fundraiser (Special Events), you'll need:
- Ability to identify and develop new fundraising opportunities.
- Experience in planning and delivering successful fundraising events or projects.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently (on your own initiative) as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to engage and persuade a diverse range of people. Happy to communicate across different platforms (phone, email, online meetings etc) and face to face.
- Experience of volunteer management and of leading volunteer engagement and management initiatives.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload effectively.
- Willingness to travel across Scotland and manage local fundraising events.
