Location: Central England
Salary: £68,904 to £74,593 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Are you ready to lead compassionate, high-impact health and care services that make a real difference across Central England?
As the area\’s Director of Health and Care, you’ll shape and lead the delivery of our service offer across Central England – ensuring it’s nationally consistent yet locally responsive. How can we better support vulnerable people in times of need? What innovations can we scale to improve care? You’ll work with dedicated teams, partners, and communities to answer these questions and more. This role is central to our mission of spreading the power of kindness through high-quality, person-centred services.
A day in the life of a Director of Health & Care will involve:
- Leading and supporting an area team to deliver consistent, high-quality services tailored to local needs.
- Collaborating with national and regional partners to develop and grow our health and care offer.
- Representing the British Red Cross at senior-level meetings and public forums.
- Overseeing budgets, planning, and service performance to ensure strategic goals are met.
To be a successful Director of Health & Care, you’ll need:
- Proven experience managing complex services across a wide geography.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing people and teams.
- Confidence in building partnerships and influencing at a senior level.
- A deep understanding of health and social care sectors.
